Davco Glass Mosaic Additive is the superior quality of modified polymer, designed to be used in conjunction with color choice of Davco Color Grout for installation of most types of mosaic, ideal for Glass mosaics. This combined product can be used as adhesive or grout, outstandingly, used as adhesive and grout in one step.
Glass Mosaic Additive enhances working characteristics of Davco Color Grout not only as a grout, but also an adhesive including improvement in its properties, rapid strength development, increase flexural strength, a high degree of water resistance, greater slump resistance, longer open time, pot life, re-positioning time and trowel properties. Thus, allowing installation in one step and able to fix onto various substrates.
USES
Types of Tiles All types of glass tiles and non porous tiles i.e. Glass mosaics, tumbled mosaics, ceramics, porcelain, slate and natural stones, granite and marble tiles with the exception of green marble.
Application Usage
One step Application: adhere and grout at the same time
- Mosaic with a grout joint 3 x 3 mm or less.
Adhesive and Grout Application: grout after at least 5 hours curing, additional curing time is required when tiling over waterproofing membrane.
- For a grout joint greater than 3mm.
SUBSTRATES
- Use on both walls / floors, interior / exterior application.
- Onto concrete, cement renders / screeds, block work, rendered brickwork and mortar leveling.
- Waterproof membranes such as LANKO 226 & LANKO 452 .
- Permanent water immersions i.e. swimming pool.
- Flexible building boards such as Fiber cement sheet, Gypsum board, Plasterboard, Vivaboard.
